Historical portray about the ecclesiastical lawyer Martin Gauger who is the only lawyer known by name who refused
the loyalty oath to Hitler in 1934. When he didn't meet the conscription call, too, he was first arrested in the
concentration camp Buchenwald and then gased in Pirna-Sonnenstein. Letters and documents reminds us of his life,
asking what does it mean for us today?
